About our Club

We're  situated just outside of  Rotherham Town Centre and have 4 all-weather tarmac  courts which give us tennis all year round in lovely surroundings.  We've a new Clubhouse with changing rooms, showers, toilets (including disabled),  kitchen  and communal area.

We're affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association , the Sheffield and District Leagues and the South Yorkshire Tennis League.  We have Ladies, Men's, Junior and Mixed teams who play competitive doubles throughout the year.

We  have a Junior Section and Coaching is available for all ages and standards throughout the year. Coaching Page

Sportivate

Coach Glyn Smith and some of the participants at our Sportivate sessions. This course was part of a Sport England scheme to encourage 14-25 year olds to participate in regular sport.

We've had a bid to run a similar programme in spring/ summer 2012 accepted, so if you know of anyone who might be interested, or might be able to publicise it at your school or college watch this space.

Finals Day
A huge crowd crammed the terrace to watch some gripping and skilful tennis. The under 12 title went to Esther Jones, who beat Bradley Smith in straight sets. Sean Yates won the under 16s beating Bradley as well. Tom Fenoughty retained the Mens singles, beating Glyn Smith in a tense 3 set match. Jayne Jenkinson regained the Ladies singles from last year’s winner Diane Watson in 2 hard fought sets. Tom triumphed again in the Mens doubles, partnering Cristi Onisa to a close 3 set win over Harvey Sutton and Phil Whelan. In the Ladies doubles Ruth Walker and Lynne Kirkham beat Danielle Gaynor and Georgina Taylor, and in the Mixed, Judith Sharpe and Glyn Smith beat Esther Jones and Gavin Rocket in another close 3 setter.
